Christine Leung
In 2012, Christine Leung established Lotus Brook, a horticultural consultancy, and today she works strategically to consult, advise, and transform the public realm to enhance nature, improve biodiversity, and counter the effects of climate change.
Over the past seven years, Christine has played a role in creating numerous community gardens, delivering 10 urban meadows, improving high street areas, and mobilising 140 households to engage in front yard gardening and community composting. Other projects include woodland development and community alleyways, delivered in collaboration with landowners, social landlords, policymakers, universities, local authorities, and Public Health.

Christine says: “This garden features a key message of the joy of community food growing which is prominent in my current projects. Working in a deprived area of Merseyside also ties in with the educational aspect of food growing – provenance, seasons, food security and sustainability.”
