The always popular Kitchen Garden returns to RHS Malvern Spring Festival with a revamped focus on plants that serve more than one purpose. Every plant has been thoughtfully chosen to provide multiple benefits—whether for culinary or medicinal use to attract pollinators, or to add to soil health.
The garden features an array of raised beds and containers at varied heights. The planting is divided into three groups:
- Blooms – A vibrant display of edible and pollinator-friendly flowers that bring both beauty and function to the space.
- Micro Veg – A collection of nutrient-rich microgreens, demonstrating how small-scale growing can yield impressive results.
- Herbs – An aromatic selection of culinary and medicinal herbs, highlighting their versatility and essential role in the kitchen.
This year, the Kitchen Garden houses an interactive, hands-on journey from ‘plot to plate.’ Including harvesting fresh herbs and edibles directly from the garden for use in live demonstrations, tastings, or interactive workshops, to show how freshly harvested ingredients elevate flavour, nutrition, and sustainability.
