Lettuce, butterhead and loose trial 2025

Objectives and purpose of the trial

The focus of this trial is to assess a range of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) cultivars (including butterhead and loose types). This dual trial at RHS Wisley, Surrey, and RHS Rosemoor, Devon, aims to compare, record and display the merits of new and established lettuce cultivars for garden use and cultivation. Those that perform best will be awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
