A deciduous hybrid maple (A. palmatum x A. pseudosieboldianum) about 3-4m tall with a wide, slight weeping habit. Mid-green, finely divided leaves, emerge in spring, a blush orange-red, quickly maturing to green, turning yellow, orange and red in autumn; bred to be a substitute for less hardy Japanese maples in harsh climate conditions
