A compact, rounded, evergreen shrub about 60cm tall and wide, with dark green leaves to 2.5cm long, tinted red when young, and burgundy-red stems. Spikes of violet-blue flowers appear from late spring to early autumn

Cultivation

Propagation
Propagate by seed sown in containers in a cold frame as soon as ripe. Cultivars will not come true. Root semi-hardwood cuttings in late summer or autumn with added bottom heat
