A compact evergreen shrub to around 1m high, with small, glossy green leaves streaked with yellow in the centre and tinted dark bronze at the margins. Leaf colour deepens in autumn and winter to a dark purple-bronze that is almost black, with touches of red and green in the centre. Flowers in spring are green, small and insignificant

How to grow
Cultivation
In milder areas, grow outdoors in neutral to slightly acid soil, in sun or light shade, and protect from winter frosts. Grow under glass in peat-free, loam-based potting compost with added grit, in bright filtered light and with good ventilation.
