Cannomois grandis
A vigorous evergreen, perennial of bamboo-like stout clumps rising from rhizomes, with drooping, feathery green to reddish-pink foliage. Male plants have inflorescens of spherical, shiny, plum-brown flowers and female plants have flower heads of large, swollen brown spikelets.

How to grow
Cultivation
Will grow well in moist but well-drained soil in a sunny position. Keep moist in dry weather. Mulch in winter to protect it from cold weather.
