A rounded, deciduous shrub, to 1.25m tall, with dark green, oval leaves. Flowerheads, borne from summer into autumn, open with green florets that develop a two-toned appearance with irregular markings of either soft pink or, in acidic conditions, a bluish-purple. Over time, the blue or pink markings become darker and more pronounced before fading away to leave the flowerhead predominantly green again

Cultivation
