Manchurian striped maple 'Joe Witt'
A deciduous, small spreading snake-bark maple about 8m in height, with bloomy shoots and striking, heavily white-streaked green bark. Bright green leaves to 20cm across have 3-5 tapering and pointed lobes, turn brilliant butter-yellow in autumn. Bears yellowish-green flowers in pendulous racemes in spring followed by yellow-brown winged fruits in autumn.

Cultivation

Propagate by seed (trees and shrubs), layering in autumn, grafting in late winter or softwood cuttings in early summer
