Throughout summer this tender perennial freely produces large, funnel-shaped, red flowers on compact, bushy plants reaching 1m in height; plants may also be grown in a hanging basket and allowed to trail down. Grow in a warm greenhouse or conservatory, moving plants onto a sunny patio in summer

How to grow
Cultivation
Under glass, grow in peat-free, loam-based potting compost in full light with shade from hot sun. In the growing season, water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly; water moderately at other times
Propagation
Propagate by softwood cuttings in late spring or semi-ripe cuttings in summer, with bottom heat
