A small, deciduous tree to 8m tall and 3m wide, with long, narrow green leaves turning a warm yellow in autumn. From mid-summer to early autumn upright panicles of bell-shaped, deep pink flowers with frilly edges and a yellow-blotched throat with purple lines are produced.
