A compact, rosette-forming, semi-evergreen perennial with green, veined foliage, and dark red stems which are shorter than many other candelabra varieties. Red buds, opening to whorls of orange flowers, appear from late spring to mid-summer. Prefers moist or boggy areas so ideal for the edge of a stream or pond
