Semi-evergreen shrub about 2.5m tall, with arching stems bearing bright green leaves composed of 9 or more leaflets. Bright yellow, occasionally fragrant, flowers 1cm across are produced in terminal clusters, in summer, followed by purple-black rounded fruits when two or more clones are grown together
