Student membership

From 1 February 2013 only the following types of student are eligible for Student membership:

  1. Horticultural students (in full or part-time study) UK only
  2. Other students age 18+ in full time further or higher education only (able to show a valid NUS card or equivalent), UK only
  3. Students aged 16-18 years in full-time education, UK only
  4. Apprentices
  • Unlimited entry to RHS Gardens: Free entry to all RHS Gardens 364 days a year for member only - RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey, Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, Hyde Hall in Essex, Rosemoor in Devon and Bridgewater in Greater Manchester.
  • Free access to more than 200 RHS Partner Gardens: Hand-picked by us for their diverse garden design and planting, either throughout their opening season or at selected periods.Free access to the Partner Gardens applies to the Individual member only, as specified on your membership card
  • Privileged entry and discounted tickets to RHS Shows: RHS Chelsea Flower Show, RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival and the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park. Discounted admission to RHS Malvern Spring Festival and Autumn Show. Free entry to RHS Garden Flower Shows
  • Booking information: Members can buy up to four member-rate tickets for RHS shows. See Members' Handbook for full details
  • Monthly magazine: The Garden magazine, available digitally or as a paper version, contains a fabulous selection of exciting features for all RHS members, whatever their gardening interest
  • Gardening Advice: Our experts are ready to give you personal advice on any gardening matter through all seasons. The Advisory Service is a free member-only service delivered by post, telephone, email, or face-to-face at RHS Garden Wisley
  • Special events: Enhance your enjoyment and knowledge of gardening with discounted tickets to a wealth of events, workshops and demonstrations across the UK
  • Monthly email updates: Keep up-to-date with events, news, offers and find out what’s new at RHS online when you register your email address
  • Access to the Lindley Library
