Inspired by the intricate floral patterns of Italian millefiori glass, learn to create a stunning brooch using some of the fundamental skills of traditional metal thread, goldwork, and embroidery.

We will study various techniques of couching and cut purl work, combined with beads, spangles, buttons and mesh ribbons, over domed padding. The completed brooches make wonderful gifts or can be tailored to enhance your party season outfit.

There is a choice of designs depending on your experience, from small brooches which can be completed in two days to slightly more complex shapes such as butterflies.

You’ll be provided with a full working kit containing all the fabrics, threads and needles required to complete your design. Includes a light lunch and refreshments.

Tutor: Jenny Adin-Christie
