About the garden

Owned by

Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust

Wentworth Woodhouse has over 50 acres of beautiful gardens encompassing ancient trees, shaded woodland copses and a peppering of follies and monuments across the landscape. Vast lawns stretch out from the beautiful house’s baroque façade, and historic paths meander under majestic veteran trees.

Families and garden lovers alike can enjoy a day in the gardens and discover many hidden delights from the sweeping views from the Ha-Ha and South Terrace to the wildflower meadow – so much awaits on each visit.
In addition, the newly opened Forest of Bewilderment is a haven for little explorers and their families with plenty of natural play areas to enjoy!

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the gardens.
