About the garden
Cambo’s large walled garden is built around the Cambo Burn, which, along with its summerhouse, willows, elegant wrought-iron bridges and waterfall, gives the garden its unique, soft and informal character. There are masses of spring bulbs, a lilac walk, rambler roses and spectacular late-season herbaceous borders. An ornamental potager and cutting garden add further variety.
A ‘no dig’ edible garden supplies produce for the café at the Stables Visitor Centre, which also houses an extensive plant and craft shop. The wider grounds include a North American prairie and stunning winter garden showcasing Cambo’s famous snowdrop collection. Families with young children can enjoy a natural play area and woodland walks – spectacular from February to mid-March – that lead down to the sea.
