About the garden
Set in the heart of a medieval deer park at the foot of the South Downs, Parham’s award-winning four-acre Walled Garden is a tapestry of colour and rich scents from early spring until autumn. The vast herbaceous borders are currently undergoing restoration, with several already replanted in various colour themes.
The garden is surrounded by the seven-acre Pleasure Grounds, which feature a lake nestled among specimen trees and native heathers, as well as a delightful and intricated turf and brick maze. Continuing a tradition established over 70 years ago, the beautiful flower arrangements throughout the house are created using blooms from the garden. A stunning historic greenhouse displays many unusual aromatic and tender plants.
