About the garden
An enchanting, informal woodland garden full of winding paths and natural beauty, Furzey Gardens spans 10 acres. First planted in 1922, it features a botanically and historically significant plant collection sourced from around the world.
The 2012 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold medal-winning Show Garden has been recreated by the lake and it has now become naturalised in its permanent home. Furzey also participated in the 2024 RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival with its Reflective Waters of Inclusivity Show Features garden.
Furzey Gardens is also home to the very rare Scarlet malachite beetle, which is encouraged along with other wildlife. Central to the garden’s philosophy is the training and support it provides to people with learning disabilities.
Please note: Dogs on leads are allowed in the garden from 1 November to 31 March.
