Pressing flowers
JamJar Flowers are passionate about preserving and extending the life of flowers. Pressing flowers is a great activity that anyone can try and there are plenty of reasons to have a go
During the Covid pandemic, the RHS created Virtual Chelsea, with special content created to replace the cancelled Show.
London Gate at Chelsea Flower Show
In 2019, JamJar Flowers built a giant ‘theatre curtain’ at London Gate, one of the main entrances into the showground, to create a dramatic entrance to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The installation was filled with flowers. It was beautiful and designed to draw attention to the importance of bees. Every plant featured in the London Gate installation was chosen because of its bee and pollinator-friendly qualities.
Flowers as art
Everyone can press flowers and many flowers are beautiful when they’re pressed. In fact, some of the best flowers to press are the delicate and fragile everyday flowers and weeds rather than the more showy garden plants.

Once the flowers are released from the press you can use them to make your own art. Have a look at the images to see some of our stunning pressed flower projects.
