Jon’s career story

Interest in horticulture and gardening

Before his time at the RHS, Jon worked in the creative industry and has a degree in printed textile design. He’s worked in both the fashion industry and pursued an art and design education, as well teaching secondary school age. He decided on a career change and came to the RHS to follow his interest in horticulture.

Opening up opportunities

Jon has been interested in gardening and horticulture from a young age and has many houseplants. He’s interested in learning more and has applied to a local college to do an RHS Level 2 in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture – with the hope that this will open more doors and opportunities within the organisation.
