Abies vejarii
Véjar fir
An evergreen coniferous tree, growing up to 10 -20 metres high, with conical crown. Young shoots are olive-green, forward and upward-pointing. Glossy needles are grey-green or glaucous, with two grey bands on reverse, up to 2.5cm long. Cylindrical seed cones are 6-15cm long, violet when young, maturing to brown. Cones have protruding bracts.
