An herbaceous perennial with branched, upright stems bearing pale green, heart-shaped leaves up to 10cm across. The whole plant is softly-hairy, giving it a silvery appearance especially in spring. Yellow, three-petalled flowers are produced at the branch tips intermittently from spring to summer
