Since 1913, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has served to inspire professional and amateur gardeners alike. Through its Show Gardens, trade stands and the Great Pavilion, Chelsea brings together the very best in horticultural excellence, with amazing designs and beautiful planting. However, some of the Show Gardens can feel a little far from our domestic gardens and green spaces at home. In a special session, we will be looking at how you can take ideas from the Chelsea Flower Show and translate them into your own garden.
In this study session, Chris Young, Editor of
The Garden, and author of
Take Chelsea Home: Practical Inspiration from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, will be discussing the best ideas, trends, styles and techniques from Chelsea 2019 and previous shows, and will suggest how they might work in a domestic space in your garden. In addition, this talk will be followed by a show-and-tell session in the RHS Lindley Library of our Chelsea Flower Show collection and the continuing influence of the show on popular garden design over the past 116 years.
Refreshments will be provided during a break.
