About the garden

A range of affordable B&Q products are put to use to create this inspirational, relaxing and entertaining garden, designed as the ultimate feel-good outdoor space.

Colour is one of the many things people love most about their gardens, and this design uses it in spades with a brand new breed of busy lizzie, available in six vivid hues. The plants are also known as ‘impatiens’, meaning impatient, referring to the way their seed heads burst open. Some of the busy lizzies in the garden have been grown taller than usual, reflecting how they would grow in the dark forests of East Africa.

The contemporary planting aims to change gardeners’ perceptions of busy lizzies, and clever features, including water jets, depict their bursting seed heads.
