The garden is a study of reflection, inspired by Capability Brown’s use of lakes. The water troughs reflect the planting and custom-made sculpture ‘follies’.
Just as Brown was a master of illusion and perspective, the design plays with the visitors’ experience. The unusual shape of the garden directs the view, a path draws the eye deeper into the contours of the land, and the famous Capability tree clump is reimagined in dead wood and metal.
