Meet the designer of the Big Picture Garden at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2024
After leaving a successful but stressful corporate career in London, chartered landscape architect and garden designer Sophie Godber relocated to the Peak District National Park to be close to her northern roots and to raise her family. Following this, Sophie designed her sister’s urban courtyard, a project which unexpectedly reawakened a forgotten but deep-seated fascination with gardens and herbaceous planting. See the Big Picture Garden This inspiration led her to set up Spacecraft Garden Design Ltd in 2017, a purposely small outfit that enabled her to do what she loved: crafting garden spaces, each unique and responsive to its setting and the people who use them.
