A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing fleshy rosettes, the spoon-shaped, green leaves, with flushes of red on the outer leaves, become coppery red in summer, and red in winter and spring. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets

Cultivation
