A clump-forming perennial to 60cm tall, with upright to arching, hairy stems bearing slender, pointed leaves. From late summer to mid-autumn, upward-facing, purple-spotted white flowers to 3cm long are produced along the length of the stems. Grow in a woodland garden or shady border

Cultivation
Grow in moist but well-drained, acidic to neutral, humus-rich soil in deep or partial shade. Mulch in winter
Propagation
Propagate by division in spring, or by sowing seed as soon as ripe in containers in a cold frame. In cold areas overwinter young plants in a cool greenhouse for their first winter
