Clump-forming, evergreen perennial sedge, about 60cm tall, with slender, finely pointed, dark green leaves, at its brightest in autumn and winter, when edged with orange from summer to early autumn then bronze edged in winter, fading to cream in spring and summer. Carries panicles of green and brown flower spikes on stems 45cm long within the foliage, in late spring
