Cultivation
Grow as an annual in colder areas, or as a perennial in warmer areas, in well-drained, fertile soil in full sun in a sheltered position, such as against a south-facing or west-facing wall
Propagation
Propagate by division in spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in early summer; it is a short-lived plant so propagate reserve plants each year; propagation for resale is prohibited without a licence
