A tender, mound-forming to trailing perennial, mostly grown as an annual for summer container or bedding displays. It has ovate, sticky and hairy, green to grey-green leaves and, from late spring into autumn, trumpet shaped flowers. 'AlpeTunia' is a series of varieties perfect for containers, window boxes and balconies that cascade and gently trail. This variety has pale to mid blue-mauve purple flowers.
