A clump-forming, evergreen perennial, about 20cm tall, normally grown as an indoor plant, producing lance-shaped, glossy dark green leaves to 28cm long with finely tapered points. Tiny green-tinged, 6 petalled, white flowers appear in lax racemes to 40cm long from the centre of the clump; does not produce plantlets
