Cally strain is a compact, clump-forming herbaceous perennial, up to 30-40cm high, with deciduous green leaves, deeply cut into seven lobes which are in turn finely cut into narrow segments, and saucer-shaped flowers, about 3-4cm across, of rich purplish-pink with darker veins, from summer to early autumn
