RHS Glow featuring highlights from new Alan Titchmarsh album
A new and unique musical collaboration is set to debut this festive season at the five RHS Gardens, amidst the magical lights of RHS Glow. The RHS has joined with gardener, broadcaster and RHS Ambassador Alan Titchmarsh MBE and composer and conductor Debbie Wiseman OBE to introduce their brand-new album ‘Jack Frost – A Winter Story’, featuring music and narration inspired by the myth of Jack Frost.
This enchanting tale of winter wonderment retells the magical story of Jack Frost. Exquisitely narrated by Alan Titchmarsh with music by Debbie Wiseman, the story is set to become a treasured addition to the winter season’s entertainment.
Highlights of the album will be showcased at RHS Glow across RHS Garden Bridgewater, RHS Garden Harlow Carr, RHS Garden Hyde Hall, RHS Garden Rosemoor, and RHS Garden Wisley from 15 November 2024 to 5 January 2025.

Capturing the magic of the Jack Frost story with spellbinding music and enchanting narration, the album – which is released on 22 November by Silva Screen Records – additionally features two brand-new carols with special guest artists Cerys Matthews and her son, Red Abbott Matthews.
Debbie Wiseman said: “This has been such a joyful collaboration melding the serenity of the Jack Frost music with the charm and wonder of Alan’s inspiring story and lyrics. We’re so excited that it can be experienced within the evocative and beautiful settings of the RHS Gardens.”
Celebrate the festive season at RHS Gardens
Alongside selected highlights of ‘Jack Frost – A Winter Story’, visitors at RHS Glow can experience the five RHS Gardens lit up with dazzling illuminations this festive season. The enchanting spectacle returns with a new and unique magical winter walk at each garden that celebrates its most spectacular and well-loved vistas.

Explore an amazing new illuminated trail with spectacular features for 2024, and for the first time weave through the Bicentennial Arboretum for a shimmering woodland wonderland. For the first time at RHS Garden Wisley, the enchanting winter wonderland includes a pontoon across the Glasshouse Lake, as magical fairy bell trees and snowflakes light your way on the brand-new route. The whole family can enjoy a magical evening at RHS Garden Bridgewater, with a brand-new route for 2024. Magical light-up hedgehogs, fairy lights, and interactive displays will lead the way around the Salford garden. Alan Titchmarsh MBE, while best known as a gardener, writer, novelist and broadcaster, is also an accomplished concert presenter, frequently at the Royal Albert Hall. He now presents ‘Love Your Weekend’ on ITV and hosts a regular Saturday afternoon radio show on Classic FM. He is Vice President of the RHS and founding Ambassador since 2013.
Debbie Wiseman OBE, whose distinguished career encompasses the worlds of TV, film and concert music, is one of the UK’s most successful female music ambassadors with over 200 film and TV credits and many commissions for royal events. She is also Classic FM’s Composer in Residence.
