About the garden
Six linked gardens filling 17 acres were created by nurseryman and plantsman Alan Bloom, the founder of the Bressingham Gardens Nursery, and his son Adrian Bloom. The gardens nestle in the idyllic Waveney Valley in south Norfolk. Alan Bloom’s Dell Garden incorporates island beds filled with 4,500 different selections of hardy perennials, which offer spectacular summer colour.
The Fragrant Garden is packed with delightfully scented shrubs, herbs and foliage. Adrian’s Wood links the Dell Garden to Foggy Bottom and is devoted to North American plants. Foggy Bottom offers a demonstration of how to grow and use trees, conifers, shrubs, perennials and grasses for year-round colour. It’s a truly enchanted garden containing appealing plant combination ideas and inspiration. The most recent addition is the Winter Garden – perfect to visit from mid-February.
