What to expect at RHS Glow illuminations

Explore the light fantastic

Experience this jewel of a garden on a wonderful after-dark trail of festive light and colour. Follow the illuminated route through beautiful garden rooms, and each evening be entertained and enchanted by musical fun and performers.

Bask in the glow

Discover a shimmering wonderland and magnificent trees drenched in a kaleidoscope of colour. In an experience like no other, discover striking sculptures from our Winter Sculpture Exhibition beautifully illuminated. It’s the perfect backdrop for festive family time, date nights and catching up with friends.

Food and drink

While exploring the trail, enjoy takeaway food and drink including warming soups and pasties, festive treats and mulled wine or hot chocolate from the Otter Café and Shepherd’s Hut. Savour a delicious seasonal meal prepared with fresh local produce in our Garden Restaurant before or after wandering the trail.

Garden accommodation

Immerse yourself fully in the Glow experience with a stay at one of our delightful holiday apartments and get the garden all to yourself after hours. All stays include admission to at least one Glow evening with guests able to access the event from their accommodation.

Plan your visit to Glow 2024

  • Dates: Fridays and Saturdays from 15 November – 7 December; then Thursday 12 – Saturday 14 December; Tuesday 17 – Saturday 21 December; Monday 23 December; and Friday 27 – Saturday 28 December 2024
  • Times: 4.30pm to 8pm. Last entry 7pm
  • Pre-booked tickets only: All visitors including members, guests of members and under 5s require a pre-booked Glow ticket. You may arrive at any time during your booked time slot and can stay as long as you like within opening times

  • Please bring: your booking reference number (and RHS membership card) with you on the day
  • Accessibility: A flat route is available
  • Dogs not permitted: with the exception of registered assistance dogs
