Whether you're a keen grower, seasoned cook, or just love to get out and about, there's a huge choice of activities during autumn half term to get stuck into at the Garden.

Highlights include tastings, cookery demonstrations, walks, storytelling, displays and advice… indeed everything you need to know about enjoying seasonal fruit and vegetables!

25 October - 2 November: Tree quiz trail

Have fun exploring on this seasonal tree
quiz trail. More details available at the garden.

25-26 October: Apple Festival

Lots of apple-related crafts and activities for children, with over 200 varieties of apples on display. Plus advice on growing apple trees, tastings and identification. more...

29 October: Storytelling

Autumnal tales for all the family. 11am, 12pm, 2pm.

31 October: Pumpkin day

Pumpkin and gourd display, with cultivation advice and children’s crafts. more...

31 October: Pumpkin carving*

2 November: Mushroom magic

Displays, tastings, advice and identification, with games and activities for all the family on this fun day out. more...

2 November: Fungus forays*

Forays led by members of the Mid Yorkshire
Fungus Group to discover fresh fungi and edible
