Advisory Committee on Nomenclature & Taxonomy (ACONAT)

The Committee reports to Council and advises on the naming of plants in cultivation.

Bursaries Advisory Committee

The Committee reports to Council and makes recommendations on the award of RHS bursaries to individuals for the improvement of horticultural knowledge and experience.

Conservation & Environment Advisory Committee

 The Committee reports to Council and advises on conservation and environmental matters in relation to gardening.

Qualifications Advisory Committee

The RHS Qualifications Advisory Committee provides advice on RHS Qualifications, the development of their relevance in the context of the market for qualifications and the mission and goals of the Society, and their quality in content and delivery.

Gardens Advisory Committee

The Committee reports to Council and provides advice on the development and maintenance of the Society's gardens.

Lindley Library Advisory Committee

The Committee reports to Council and provides advice on the collections and related information services of the Lindley Library their acquisition, curation, access and promotion.

Photographic Advisory Committee

The Committee reports to Council and provides advice on the purchase of horticultural photographs for inclusion in the RHS Lindley Library collection, and judges exhibits of photographs of plants, flowers and gardens. The Committee supports the promotion of the collections through Library activities such as exhibitions and seminars.

Picture Advisory Committee

The Committee reports to Council and provides advice on the purchase of horticultural photographs for inclusion in the Lindley Library collection, and judges exhibits of paintings and drawings of plants, flowers and gardens. The Committee supports the promotion of the collections through Library activities - such as exhibitions and seminars.

ENTRY: Details of exhibits must be submitted on the official entry form obtainable from the Shows Department in accordance with the regulations in the London Flower Shows Exhibitor Manual.

AWARDS FOR PICTURES: The Committee will recommend awards as listed in regulation 3(a) for exhibits that demonstrate a close attention to botanical accuracy in the depiction of the shape, habit and colour (when applicable) of the subject.

Rock Garden & Alpine Group Sub-Committee

The Sub-Committee reports to the Rock Garden Plant Committee and judges all group exhibits of rock garden and alpine plants shown at the London Flower Shows.

Science & Horticultural Advice Committee

The Committee reports to Council and provides advice on science and horticulture, and contributes to the effective communication of horticultural information and its underpinning science to a wide audience.

Trials Advisory Committee

The Committee reports to Council on trials matters from invited and long-term Trials Sub-Committees. It also recommends trials policies and procedures.
