“The joy flowers and gardens brings is immeasurable. The RHS inspires all gardeners. I feel privileged to help to continue its work by leaving a legacy”
Mrs R E Bresson

Legacy events at the RHS gardens

Each year we hold legacy information events at the four RHS gardens. On these days our staff will take you on a tour of the garden, discuss future plans of the RHS and answer questions on our charitable work and leaving a legacy to the RHS.

These events are limited to between 40-60 people, depending on which garden the event is held at.

For more information regarding our legacy events or to book a place please contact our Legacy Department.

The importance of legacies to the RHS

  • Our commitment to horticulture is reflected in every aspect of our work.
  • Our four showcase gardens, Wisley, Hyde Hall, Harlow Carr and Rosemoor, demonstrate the highest standards of horticultural design and practice.
  • We are a leading force in horticultural science and education.
  • The RHS Lindley Library contains the world’s most comprehensive collection of horticultural books.
  • Our famous flower shows, including those held at Chelsea and Hampton Court Palace encourage excellence and innovation in all aspects of gardening, plant cultivation and design.

Legacies are crucial to us. Not only do they mean we can preserve and maintain these precious resources, they also allow us to plan ahead in the knowledge that we can extend and develop the RHS in years to come.
